Corporate Volunteer Hours
Some local companies are very generous with their support for charities, giving employees paid time off to help worthwhile causes – and some of them have volunteered to use this time to help the Town Team with local projects.
This spring, we were hugely grateful to volunteers from Nestlé's Buxton Waters, MacDonalds, Waitrose and the Pump Room team, who supported the Big Buxton Spring Clean by cleaning the railings in the Pavillion Gardens and staging a litter pick around Buxton Cresent. The impact was noticeable after only a couple of hours – and many people commented on what a difference it had made.
A range of other opportunities are lined up, so please have a think if your company wants to be involved and join in! The time can differ from a couple of hours to a full day. And the time given not only supports our town, but also gives companies visible PR across local social media.
